Online ORP Sensor Continuous Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP) Monitoring for Industrial Water Quality

The Online ORP Sensor is designed for continuous oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) monitoring in industrial water applications. It is compatible with water samples of both high and low ionic strength. Utilizing an electrochemical salt bridge measurement principle, it features a platinum-plate indicator electrode and an internal signal isolation design. The device supports RS485 (Modbus-RTU) output and carries an IP68 waterproof rating, making it ideal for online monitoring in water treatment, wastewater management, and chemical processing.

As an online ORP monitoring instrument, the Online ORP Sensor is primarily intended for environmental water quality analysis. It accommodates a wide range of water samples—from high to low ionic strength—meeting the requirements for online ORP measurement across most industrial and environmental settings. The device employs an electrochemical salt bridge principle, with a platinum-plate indicator electrode that offers excellent stability. Integrated signal isolation technology ensures robust resistance to interference, even in complex operating conditions. The unit delivers high reproducibility and thermal stability, exhibits minimal signal drift, features a compact design, and provides rapid response times.

The Online ORP Sensor utilizes a 3/4" NPT pipe thread, allowing for either submersible installation or direct mounting into pipelines or tanks, ensuring a simple and convenient setup. Its ABS housing provides an IP68 protection rating, enabling long-term underwater operation with high stability and an extended service life. The measurement range spans from -1500 mV to +1500 mV, with a resolution of 1 mV and an accuracy of ±6 mV. It operates on a 12–24 V DC power supply, comes standard with a 5-meter cable, and supports single-point calibration.

The Online ORP Sensor is designed for an operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C and can withstand a medium pressure of up to 0.2 MPa (ensure the water does not freeze during operation). It provides an RS485 signal output based on the Modbus-RTU protocol, facilitating seamless integration into industrial control systems for networked data acquisition.
