Urban Waterlogging monitoring system This system comprises a monitoring host, a mounting pole/bracket, a power supply system, an underground water-level sensor, an LED display screen, and a cloud platform. It monitors water levels in real-time across low-lying areas—such as roads, tunnels, and underpasses—providing the data necessary for urban waterlogging alerts and traffic management.
Urban Waterlogging monitoring system This is an automated early-warning system designed to monitor water depth in low-lying urban areas in real-time. The system consists of six components: a monitoring host, a mounting pole/bracket, a power supply system, an underground water-level sensor, a dual-color LED display, and a cloud platform. The underground sensor is installed beneath the road surface, where it comes into direct contact with accumulated water to collect level data; the monitoring host processes and uploads this data; the mounting pole secures the host and LED display; the power supply system ensures round-the-clock operation; the dual-color LED display provides real-time water-level information and safety warnings to passing pedestrians and vehicles; and the cloud platform receives, stores, and analyzes data transmitted from the various monitoring points.
Urban Waterlogging monitoring system The system is primarily deployed in areas prone to water accumulation, such as low-lying road sections, underpasses, tunnels, culverts, and underground walkways. When water depth reaches a preset warning threshold, the system automatically triggers a tiered alert, disseminating warnings via multiple channels—including audible and visual alarms, SMS notifications, platform pop-ups, and LED screen displays. By aggregating data from all monitoring points, the cloud platform can generate a comprehensive map of waterlogging distribution, enabling municipal authorities to assess the urban waterlogging situation and coordinate drainage operations effectively.
From the perspective of overall urban safety, installing front-end sensing equipment at flood-prone locations enables continuous, round-the-clock monitoring. The system utilizes wireless communication technologies—such as 4G, 5G, and NB-IoT—for data transmission and supports breakpoint resumption, ensuring stable data transmission even during adverse weather conditions. Some system configurations also integrate video surveillance equipment, allowing for real-time visual monitoring of the site and providing dual verification through the combination of video footage and sensor data. Municipal management departments utilize Urban Waterlogging monitoring system to enable continuous monitoring, early warning, and proactive preparation, allowing for preemptive measures in areas prone to flooding during heavy rainfall. Traffic management authorities can access real-time water level data for various road sections via the system and use media channels—such as radio and television—to provide travel guidance to the public, preventing people and vehicles from inadvertently entering deeply flooded areas. Baoding’s water accumulation prediction model has established a closed-loop response process—comprising simulation-based prediction, warning issuance, dispatching, and on-site feedback—reducing the average response time from warning issuance to personnel deployment to under five minutes. Since the start of its trial operation, Zhengzhou’s urban flood control and drainage monitoring and warning system has generated nearly 10,000 water accumulation alerts.
In water conservancy projects, reservoirs are crucial for the rational allocation of water resources. Once a reservoir is built, it plays a vital role in flood control, water storage for irrigation, water supply, power generation, and fish farming. Among various monitoring indicators of a reservoir,...
