FT-WQX2 Ultrasonic Wind Speed Direction Sensor applies the principle of ultrasonic time difference method. By transmitting continuous frequency-modulated ultrasonic signals, it utilizes the characteristic that the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in the air is affected by wind speed to measure the time difference or relative phase of propagation in different directions, thereby accurately calculating wind speed and direction. Compared with traditional mechanical sensors, this non-contact measurement technology avoids measurement errors and frequent maintenance requirements caused by wear and jamming of mechanical components, reducing the full-life-cycle maintenance costs of the equipment.
The FT-WQX2 features ingenious design. The top cover adopts a hidden ultrasonic probe design, effectively preventing the interference of rain and snow accumulation on measurement while avoiding obstruction by natural wind, ensuring the accuracy and stability of data collection. It integrates wind speed and direction measurement functions into a highly integrated structure, achieving two-element integrated measurement, which not only saves installation space but also improves measurement synchronicity.
In terms of performance, the FT-WQX2 delivers excellent performance. It can measure wind speed in real time without starting wind speed limitations. The sensor is equipped with a built-in watchdog circuit and automatic reset function, featuring strong anti-interference capability, maintenance-free operation, and no need for on-site calibration, saving users significant labor and time costs. The housing is made of ASA engineering plastic, which has excellent weather resistance, remains colorfast after long-term outdoor use, and has strong corrosion resistance, adapting to various harsh environments.
The product is designed with an RS485 communication interface (MODBUS protocol) as the standard output signal, and optional interfaces such as 232, USB, and Ethernet are also available to support real-time data reading. For remote monitoring needs, a wireless transmission module can be optionally configured with a minimum transmission interval of only 1 minute.
The probe adopts a snap-fit design, solving the problem of inaccurate measurement caused by looseness during transportation and installation. The integrated design further reduces wear and improves response speed.
The FT-WQX2 Ultrasonic Wind Speed Direction Sensor can be widely applied in urban environmental monitoring, wind power generation, meteorological monitoring, bridges and tunnels, navigation ships, aviation airports, and other fields.
