The COD Analyzer is an instrument used to monitor the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in water bodies. The working principle of the COD Analyzer is to utilize the characteristic that organic matter in water absorbs ultraviolet light at a specific wavelength, as well as the quantitative relationship between the light absorption degree of organic matter and the COD value to determine the COD value. Usually, a wavelength of about 254nm is selected. At this wavelength, most organic matters have strong absorption characteristics, while common inorganic ions in water such as chloride ions and sulfate ions have a weak absorption effect on ultraviolet light and basically do not interfere with the measurement results. By measuring the light absorption degree of the water sample at a wavelength of 254nm and then according to the pre - constructed standard curve of absorbance and COD, the COD value of the water sample can be quickly and conveniently determined.
