Nowadays, as water resource protection has attracted increasing attention, the online river water quality monitoring project has become an important task in safeguarding the water environment. This project, through the combination of water monitoring stations, solar power supply systems, and real-time early warning platforms, builds a comprehensive river water quality monitoring network, providing a scientific basis and timely response mechanism for water environment governance.
The water monitoring station is the core monitoring carrier of the project. It adopts an integrated design concept and can be flexibly deployed along the banks of various rivers. The monitoring station is usually 2-3 meters high. Meteorological and hydrological sensors are installed on the top, a louver box is equipped in the middle with a built-in collector and data transmission module, and a water sample collection device is set at the bottom. This structural design not only protects the monitoring equipment from ground interference but also realizes continuous monitoring of key water quality indicators such as water temperature, pH value, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and ammonia nitrogen. The monitoring station is made of anti-corrosion and anti-rust materials, which can adapt to humid and dusty outdoor environments.
The solar power supply system provides reliable energy guarantee for the monitoring station, perfectly solving the problem of power supply in remote rivers. Each monitoring station is equipped with high-efficiency solar panels and energy storage battery packs, and realizes optimized energy management through an intelligent charge-discharge controller. When the light is sufficient, the solar panels convert light energy into electrical energy, part of which is used by the equipment in real-time, and the other part is stored in the battery pack; in rainy days or at night, the energy storage battery automatically switches the power supply mode to ensure the 24-hour uninterrupted operation of the monitoring equipment. This power supply method is not only green and environmentally friendly, saving electricity costs, but also reduces the construction cost of traditional cable laying and the damage to the river ecosystem.
The real-time early warning function is the core value of the project, realizing the rapid response to abnormal water quality through the construction of a "monitoring-transmission-analysis-early warning" closed-loop system. The monitoring station collects water quality data every 5-15 minutes, which is transmitted to the cloud management platform in real-time via 4G/5G wireless networks. The platform has a built-in intelligent analysis algorithm, which can automatically compare the monitoring data with the national standard limits. When an indicator exceeds the standard, it immediately sends early warning information to managers via text messages, APP pushes, etc., and marks the abnormal points on the electronic map. Managers can take measures such as investigating pollution sources and initiating emergency treatment in a timely manner according to the early warning level, eliminating potential water pollution hazards in the bud.
