FT-S3 is a Water PH Sensor suitable for industrial use. Why is that? In terms of measurement principle, FT-S3 utilizes the electrochemical (salt bridge) principle. Its core components include a glass electrode highly sensitive to hydrogen ions (H⁺) and a reference electrode composed of an Ag/AgCl electrode and a saturated KCl solution. When the pH probe is immersed in the solution to be tested, the hydrated gel layer on the outer surface of the glass membrane undergoes ion exchange with H⁺ in the solution, forming a membrane potential (E₁); on the inner side of the glass membrane, the internal buffer solution and the hydrated gel layer on the inner surface of the glass membrane also generate a membrane potential (E₂). The potential difference (ΔE = E₁ - E₂) between the two sides of the glass membrane has a linear relationship with the H⁺ concentration (i.e., pH value) in the solution in accordance with the Nernst equation. Based on this principle, the sensor can accurately sense the concentration of hydrogen ions in water, convert it into an electrical signal, and then accurately determine the pH value of water quality. This principle is widely applicable to environmental water quality testing and the testing of various water samples with high or low ionic strength.
FT-S3 offers two output modes: RS485 (MODBUS-RTU) and 4-20mA current output. The RS485 output has digital communication characteristics, enabling accurate and efficient data transmission. It can be easily connected to various automatic control systems to achieve long-distance data transmission and centralized management. The 4-20mA current output, in the form of an analog signal, is widely used in industrial fields, has strong compatibility with traditional industrial instruments, and is easy to integrate into existing industrial measurement systems, providing users with great flexibility in system integration.
The low-impedance sensitive glass membrane combined with internal signal isolation technology endows the sensor with strong anti-interference ability. In complex industrial environments, electromagnetic interference generated by various electrical equipment is ubiquitous, yet FT-S3 can effectively resist such interference, ensuring the purity and accuracy of measurement signals and the reliability of measurement data.
The sensor also features excellent reproducibility, thermal stability, and low drift characteristics. Regardless of changes in ambient temperature or during long-term continuous measurement, it can maintain stable measurement performance, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of each measurement result. This avoids measurement errors caused by environmental factors or the passage of time, reduces the workload of frequent calibration, and improves work efficiency.
FT-S3 adopts a 3/4NPT pipe thread design, which facilitates submersible installation, allowing it to be directly put into water for real-time monitoring; it is also suitable for installation on pipes and tanks, can closely meet the installation needs of different industrial scenarios, and the installation process is simple and fast. It meets the IP68 waterproof standard, can work stably for a long time at a relatively deep underwater position, is not afraid of harsh humid environments, and expands the application scenarios.
