Ultrasonic wind speed and direction meter is an advanced equipment to measure wind speed and direction through ultrasonic waves. Its working principle is to utilize the characteristics of ultrasonic wave propagation in the air to deduce the wind speed and direction by measuring the difference between the ultrasonic wave propagation speed and the airflow speed in the wind direction. When the propagation direction of ultrasonic waves is the same as the wind direction, its propagation speed will be accelerated; conversely, if the propagation direction of ultrasonic waves is opposite to the wind direction, its propagation speed will be slowed down. Therefore, under fixed detection conditions, there is a certain functional relationship between the speed of ultrasonic wave propagation in the air and the wind speed. By accurately calculating this relationship, accurate wind speed and wind direction measurements can be obtained. Since the speed of the sound wave propagating in the air is greatly affected by the temperature, the ultrasonic wind speed and direction meter is designed with two detection channels in opposite directions, so that the effect of temperature on the speed of the sound wave can be canceled out by each other, thus further improving the measurement accuracy.
It is a lightweight, durable and easy-to-use device that features high-precision measurement of wind speed and direction. Since it has no moving parts, maintenance and on-site calibration are not required. Customers can select different wind speed units, output frequencies and output formats according to their actual needs. In addition, the option of a heating unit provides additional ease of use in cold weather conditions. The unit can be easily connected for use with a computer, data collector or other acquisition device with RS485 or analog output capability. If required, multiple units can be networked together for a wider range of applications.
The Ultrasonic Wind Velocity and Direction Meter is a highly sophisticated instrument capable of all-weather, long-lasting and accurate wind speed and direction measurements. Because its design overcomes the inherent shortcomings of mechanical anemometers, the device maintains stable and reliable performance in a variety of environmental conditions. Therefore, ultrasonic anemometers are gradually replacing mechanical anemometers as the mainstream wind speed and direction measurement tool.
Civil-level meteorological monitoring equipment typically focuses on portability, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness. Here are some common types of civil meteorological monitoring equipment:Personal Weather Stations: These integrate multiple sensors and can measure temperature, humidity, wind...
Moisture monitoring is mainly used to monitor the moisture content of the soil in the tillage layer and its soil moisture supply status, which is a basic work for farmland water management and regional water resource management. By monitoring soil moisture, it is possible to water at the right amoun...
Plant growth depends on key factors such as water, nutrients, air and temperature in the soil. However, many people may not realize that soil is an extremely valuable non-renewable resource. In fact, it takes more than a thousand years for a mere 1-centimeter-thick layer of soil to form. The fertili...
Visibility in tunnels is something to be concerned about.Visibility inside tunnels is low, especially at entrances and exits, so drivers should always stay alert and turn on their headlights in advance so that they can stay safe even in low visibility conditions. At the same time, they should pay at...
