Water in Oil Sensor is a professional device for real-time online monitoring of the moisture contamination level in lubricating oil. It integrates micro-water monitoring technology to detect multiple parameters such as oil water activity, dissolved water, and temperature, assessing the oil's health status and helping users promptly detect and address moisture contamination, preventing equipment malfunctions.
Water in Oil Sensor is a professional testing device for real-time online monitoring of the moisture content in lubricating oil and hydraulic oil. Moisture is one of the most common contaminants in lubricating oil. Its presence can damage the oil film, cause additive failure, lead to corrosion of metal parts, shorten oil lifespan, and in severe cases, even cause unplanned shutdowns of large machinery, resulting in safety accidents and economic losses. For generator sets and transformers, moisture can damage the oil's insulation properties, posing a threat to the safety of electrical equipment. Water in Oil Sensor, through continuous monitoring of oil status, helps users improve condition-based maintenance efficiency, optimize oil change intervals, and reduce reliance on offline analysis.
Water in Oil Sensor integrates micro-moisture monitoring technology, capable of detecting trace amounts of moisture in oil, as well as parameters such as water activity, dissolved water, and temperature, thereby obtaining the health status of the oil. The moisture sensing probe at the sensor's front end can capture real-time changes in the electrical properties of the oil-water mixture. Data compensation is performed using a high-precision temperature probe, and the water content in the oil is obtained through optimized algorithms. Some products use polymer capacitive sensing elements, enabling continuous, accurate, and rapid detection of trace amounts of moisture and temperature in various oils such as transformer oil, turbine oil, gear oil, hydraulic oil, and compressor oil under harsh environments. Other products employ a frequency domain method, using a self-excited oscillator to resonate the LC circuit to achieve water content measurement.
Regarding technical parameters, Water in Oil Sensor has a water activity measurement range of 0 to 1 aw, a measurement accuracy of ±0.02 aw in the 0 to 0.6 range, ±0.03 aw in the 0.6 to 0.9 range, and ±0.04 aw in the 0.9 to 1 range, with a response time of less than 1 minute. The dissolved water content measurement range is 0 to 10000 ppm (0 to 1%), suitable for mineral transformer oil, with a measurement accuracy of ±10%. The temperature measurement range is -40 to 120°C, with an accuracy of ±0.2°C at +25°C. The sensor's operating temperature range is -40 to +85°C, its storage temperature range is -40 to +85°C, and its permissible oil temperature range is -40 to +120°C. The sensor supports RS485 MODBUS RTU digital signal output and can also be equipped with 4 to 20mA analog current output.
