Plant Stem Flow Meter is used for the continuous monitoring of sap flow rates and water transport processes in trees, serving applications in forest hydrology and smart agroforestry management.The thermal dissipation-based Plant Stem Flow Meter is designed according to the Granier sap flow measurement principle. It utilizes a two-probe configuration, in which the upper probe contains a heating element that provides constant-power heating. Thermocouples are used to measure the temperature difference between the upper and lower probes. Based on these measurements, the sap flow rate within a plant stem can be calculated using the thermal dissipation principle and empirical coefficients, providing insight into the plant's transpiration and water consumption.
