The monitoring of surface water quality in rivers, lakes, and other water bodies is of great significance. The emergence of the Micro Water Quality Monitor has provided an efficient and convenient solution for realizing fully automatic monitoring of surface water. Taking the FT-WMSM model as an example, let's gain an in-depth understanding of how it works.
The FT-WMSM Micro Water Quality Monitor adopts an integrated design, including parts such as a water sampling and distribution system, a detection unit, a quality control unit, and an auxiliary unit.
The water sampling and distribution system is responsible for collecting water samples from rivers and lakes and transporting them to the detection unit.
The detection unit is the core part of the entire monitoring station. For indicators such as total phosphorus, total nitrogen, chemical oxygen demand, permanganate index, and ammonia nitrogen, measurements are carried out in strict accordance with the chemical analysis methods specified in national standards. For the conventional five parameters, namely dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, temperature, and pH, the FT-WMSM adopts a multi-electrode integration method. Different electrodes sense changes in corresponding parameters in the water body and convert them into electrical signals for transmission to subsequent processing units.
The quality control unit supervises and controls the detection process. It ensures the accuracy of data by regularly calibrating instruments, testing the effectiveness of reagents, and other means. Once abnormal data is found, it promptly issues an alarm and takes corresponding measures.
The auxiliary unit provides support for the stable operation of the entire monitoring station. The waste liquid collection device handles the waste liquid generated during the detection process; the lightning protection device prevents the monitoring station from being damaged by lightning strikes in thunderstorm weather; the air conditioning system ensures that the temperature and humidity in the monitoring station are appropriate.
In actual operation, the FT-WMSM Micro Water Quality Monitor can work continuously for 24 hours. It automatically collects water samples, conducts analysis and detection at preset time intervals, and transmits data to the monitoring center in real time. Staff at the monitoring center can keep track of changes in the surface water quality of rivers and lakes, and can quickly respond and take treatment measures when water quality anomalies occur.

Dissolved oxygen refers to the molecular oxygen dissolved in water, expressed as the number of milligrams of oxygen per liter of water (mg/L). It is an important indicator for measuring the self-purification capacity of water bodies and is crucial for the survival of aquatic organisms, the balance o...
China is a large agricultural country, and agriculture occupies an important position in the national economy. In order to guarantee the continuous supply and quality and safety of agricultural products, we need to use agricultural high technology to promote the modernisation of agriculture. Precisi...
Reservoir water condition refers to the data of water level, flow rate and flow velocity, which is an important factor to ensure the safe development of reservoirs, and also related to the people's life and production. So it is necessary to do a good job of collecting and processing these data....
The Radar Water Level Monitoring Station mainly uses radar waves to measure the water level height, and its principle is as follows:The Radar Water Level Monitoring Station is equipped with a radar sensor, which emits high-frequency radar waves (usually in the microwave frequency band) towards the w...
