Designed with a durable ABS housing, Windway's Ultrasonic Wind Speed and Direction Sensor utilises the small time difference between transmitting and receiving acoustic pulses to accurately calculate wind speed and direction. Equipped with an RS-485 interface, the sensor supports the MODBUS-RTU protocol, making the communication address and baud rate adjustable, ensuring stable data transmission over communication ranges of up to 2000 metres. The optional built-in electronic compass simplifies the installation process, eliminating the need to consider traditional bearing calibration and the need for regular maintenance. It outputs real-time wind speed and direction data, as well as their instantaneous values, providing users with an easy-to-operate weather monitoring tool that does not require complex calibration.
Featuring an integrated design and inertia-free measurement technology, the FT-WQX2 ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor is capable of activating at zero wind speed and achieving 360° monitoring without the need to worry about angular constraints, providing both wind speed and direction data at once. The housing is made of lightweight and durable ASA material, which not only reduces weight but also simplifies installation and removal. Since all components are encapsulated in a single housing with no exposed parts, mechanical wear and tear is reduced, extending the life of the device.
Ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensors are widely used in meteorology, marine, environmental monitoring, aviation, ports, scientific research and agriculture due to their high accuracy and reliability. Such sensors are able to detect changes in wind speed in a timely manner, helping people to make effective use of wind resources and to prevent and reduce risks and damages caused by wind.
Taking the Dissolved oxygen sensor that measures with the dual-light-source method based on the UV254 absorption method as an example, its measurement principle is based on the ultraviolet absorption method. During operation, the light source inside the instrument emits ultraviolet light, and the li...
What is dissolved oxygen?Dissolved oxygen refers to molecular oxygen dissolved in water. There are two sources of dissolved oxygen in water. One is the oxygen dissolved in water under the equilibrium state between the water body and the atmosphere, and the other is the oxygen formed by chemical and...
An air quality monitoring station is a technical system used for real - time monitoring of pollutant concentrations in the atmosphere. It can monitor air quality in real - time and give early warnings of pollution incidents. This system typically consists of sensors, data acquisition devices, data t...
Introduction to ultrasonic wind speed sensors, there are many ways to measure wind speed, but not many with high accuracy. Using the ultrasonic principle to measure wind speed is a very popular trend in recent years, and also based on this principle, ultrasonic wind speed sensors have appeared on th...
