Soil moisture conditions, often referred to as soil moisture, are critical to agricultural production. Soil moisture is directly related to the growing conditions of crops and is one of the key environmental factors that determine the health of crops.
Knowing the exact level of soil moisture and its distribution in the soil is essential for implementing precise irrigation and rational fertilization. This not only enhances crop yield and quality, but also effectively reduces the waste of water and fertilizer, lowers the burden of agricultural production on the environment, and promotes the sustainable development of agriculture.
The three-layer tube-type soil moisture monitoring station uses frequency domain reflection (FDR) technology, a technique based on the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves in different media, and determines the soil moisture content by measuring the propagation speed of electromagnetic waves in the soil. Since changes in soil moisture content affect the dielectric constant of the soil, the FDR principle is able to monitor these changes sensitively, enabling continuous monitoring of moisture content in different soil layers.
Using a layered monitoring approach, the system was first set up at a depth of 10 centimeters below ground with a monitoring point for soil temperature, moisture, and electrical conductivity (EC), followed by additional monitoring points for soil temperature and moisture at 10-centimeter intervals in the soil layer. This configuration allows the system to accurately measure and analyze soil moisture at different depths.
The real-time soil moisture monitoring station independently developed and manufactured by Fengtu provides growers with an effective tool for obtaining and tracking changes in soil moisture conditions in a timely manner, which is essential for accurately controlling the water requirements of crops, thus providing data support and decision-making basis for agricultural activities. The station offers the advantages of low energy consumption, easy installation, multi-parameter monitoring options and continuous measurements around the clock.
The collector of the monitoring station supports the master-slave working mode. Using wireless communication technology, the soil parameter data collected by the slave will be transmitted to the master, and then the master will uniformly send it to the data platform via 4G network. The whole set of equipment includes solar power supply system, data collector, stand and various types of sensors, providing users with a complete soil monitoring solution.

An air quality monitoring station is a device system based on the concept of grid - based layout, which conducts all - round and refined monitoring of air quality in a specific area. It divides the monitoring area into multiple grids and sets up monitoring stations at key positions in each grid to a...

Plant growth depends on key factors such as water, nutrients, air and temperature in the soil. However, many people may not realize that soil is an extremely valuable non-renewable resource. In fact, it takes more than a thousand years for a mere 1-centimeter-thick layer of soil to form. The fertili...
